Skating By

It's not a great picture, but this is Cade's first experience ice skating! His friend Lexi had her birthday party at an ice rink right down the street from us. Cade LOVED it! In fact he has already made us promise to take him again! I had a great time too. I forgot how much I loved ice skating! This of course was after I recovered from Cade stepping on my bare toe (yes, I know, I should not have worn flip flops to an ice rink) with his skate. OUCH!

Quinn got into my stash of cash. . . he was very proud of himself! This was some of the money I had just earned from the garage sale!

GO COLTS!

Lucas Oil Stadium is open for business! Michael and Cade went with Carmen and Dylan to tour the new home of our INDIANAPOLIS COLTS! (Quinn and I toured the zoo. . . I think we got the raw end of that deal!!) So, I only know from what Cade and Michael have relayed that the place is incredible! Hopefully the Colts will find a lot of success in their new building!

First Day of First Grade

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! He's off to First Grade. I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday, he was the size of Quinn. Speaking of Quinn. . . I'm not quite sure what he's going to do without his Big Brother here all day (ok, I'll be honest. . .I'm not sure what I'm going to do without him all day)! Cade was very excited. He gets to ride the bus to and from school now (a big deal for him), and he really liked his teacher when we met her at the Ice Cream Social. He is also very excited about eating lunch at school!

Fun With Emi and Carson

Emi, Carson and Cade enjoyed climbing one of the trees in their backyard this weekend. We were treated to a gourmet dinner courtesy of Chef Tim!

Newport

On our trip to Cincinnati, we visited the Newport Aquarium. We all loved walking through the tunnels of fish. Quinn was amazed!

King's Island

One last hurrah before school starts. . . we had a great time at King's Island for the day. We stayed with Tim and Dina for the weekend. More pictures of the weekend to come later!!

Crazy About Cake

CRAZY CAKE DAY!!!! Every August 4th, we have Crazy Cake Day at our house. This year, I made a race track cake. It didn't turn out like I had hoped, but the boys didn't seem to mind!
