Pacers Game

Cade attended his first Pacers Game! Michael and he had a "Cade and Daddy" night! They enjoyed themselves! The tub of popcorn was a hit for our "Popcorn Crazy Boy" too! Hey, what can I say, he follows in his Mama's footsteps!

Christmas PJs

Each year they get to open one present on Christmas Eve. . . It's ALWAYS Christmas PJs. I guess Cade forgot that it's always pajamas and he was quite devastated this year, but he recovered well and posed for the annual picture in front of the fireplace with his brother!

Cookies for Santa. . . or Cookies for Quinn?

So, one of our traditions each Christmas Eve it to put out Christmas Cookies and Milk for Santa. This year, Quinn took an extreme interest in this particular tradition and helped himself. For those of you familiar with Quinn's personality. . . .it comes as no surprise to you that Quinn is the kid that feels he is in such good graces with Santa that he can steal his milk and cookies! My favorite one is the very last one. . . he's actually dipping the cookie in Santa's milk! You can click on the collage to get a closer look!

Christmas Blessings

I am sitting here getting caught up on all the blogs of my friends, getting phone calls and emails from other friends, and getting messages passed on to me from my hubby's Facebook friends. (Yes, I still refuse to create a profile for those of you Facebook-ers who are urging me to do so! I will continue to live vicariously through my hubby!) Quinn is sitting on my lap with his hair sticking up (looking like a Who from Whoville, I might add) and just "chatting" to "Ma-ma". I can hear Michael and Cade working on a puzzle in the other room. And I am feeling overwhelmingly blessed. We are surrounded by people that we love. And by surrounded, I don't necessarily mean that these people live in our house, in our town, or in our state. Many of you do, but we have friends scattered everywhere in this great country of ours that mean so much to us. At MOPS a few weeks ago we had this exact conversation about how blessed we feel by friends, and that feeling just has not passed. So THANK YOU to all of you who have loved, supported and prayed with us and for us. We've valued and appreciated every moment. I pray that your Christmas is filled with special blessings, and a constant reminder that what Christmas is really about is God sending us his Son! That is the true blessing. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas

Cade's First Piano Recital

Cade had his first piano recital! He played "Away in the Manger" and did a FANTASTIC job! We were VERY proud of him! He didn't seem nervous at all. He packed the house too! Grandma and Grandpa M, Grandma K, Aunt Carmen, Uncle Dan, Dylan & Amy, John, Jennifer, Hogan & Grant. . . they were all there to see him play!

Cade with Mr. Hall, his piano teacher.

Cade and his friend, Luke Elsbury, who also takes piano from Mr. Hall.

A Dog for Christmas. . .

We've all been missing our dogs Cole and Goldie. But this conversation was too funny. . .

Cade: "What I really, really, really want for Christmas is a dog."

Mom: "A dog is a big responsibility. Are you going to be the one to feed it, take it out, clean up it's poop, potty train it, take it on walks?"

Cade: "Oh Mom, of course I won't."

Obviously, we are not getting a dog for Christmas.

Santa Visit

What's the expression? A picture says 1,000 words. . . this says it all!

Christmas Program

"Christmas Lights" was the program that the kids at church did this year. Cade had both a speaking part and a solo in a song. He did a wonderful job! Grandma and Grandpa M were there to watch!

Health Update!

For those of you keeping up with the health of the Ferguson Boys. . . here is your update! Whew. . . it was a solid 10 days of misery, but everyone is finally well again! Cade is over his horrible cold. . . then pink eye. . . then the flu. Quinn is over his pink eye (I tried my best, but he did get it from his brother - even with the quarantine of Cade). Michael is over his strep throat. I think God knows that Moms don't get sick days, so I have been spared (at least temporarily) from any of this disgusting stuff. This has been quite a stretch. Normally the whole family is very healthy. You know it's bad when the receptionist at the pediatrician jokes and tells you that you need a "Frequent Visitor" punch card!!

Fun With Play-Doh

Quinn's first experience with play-doh was a fun one! He really enjoyed it. He especially liked it when we would use the cookie cutters to cut horses out for him!!

Irresistable Smile

Field Trip

I had the priviledge of going on one of Cade's class field trips. We went to the Post Office, Fire Station and Police Station. They enjoyed getting to sit in a fire truck, look in a police car, and see all the behind the scenes activities at the post office (which is really quite incredible if you've never seen it). We were the last group to go to the fire station, and they actually got called out while Cade was sitting in the fire truck! You should have seen all of their faces when the firefighters came running to the truck and ambulance!
Cade and his friend Michael loved checking out the police car!

Haaaattttt. . .

Cade left his Colts hat laying on the floor. I kept hearing Quinn say "haaaatttt". When I walked around the corner he had Cade's hat and was trying to put it on! So cute!

Jumping in the leaves

Today the boys jumped in a HUGE pile of leaves at Grandma and Grandpa M's house. Cade was so excited when we pulled up and saw the size of the pile, that he didn't want to eat lunch. So, of course he had a great time as my Dad threw him into the pile. However, he squealed with excitement, which Quinn interpreted as him being hurt. Therefore, Quinn was NOT thrilled with the leaves. It took him quite a while to get up the nerve just to walk near the pile, but eventually, he conceded!

Cade the Artist!

For someone who "doesn't care for Art", we think Cade is doing a great job. He brought these beauties home last week and told me all about the artists that he modeled the work after. (Jasper Johns and Piet Mondrian) I'm so glad he is taking an interest. He was, and is, very proud of his work.

Mast Family Kiddos

We had an early Christmas celebration with the Mast side of the family (my Mom's side), and with some coaxing, bribery and threatening, we were able to get all the kids in one picture! I actually think it turned out great! From Left. . .Jack, Madison, Quinn, Cade, Dayna, Mallory and Michael. There were many pictures that weren't so great. . . but I just shared those with family!! :)

Blast Off

Grandma and Grandpa M had bought Cade a Rocket for his birthday. Today my Dad (Grandpa M), Cade and I set it off! It was priceless. It is powered by vinegar and baking soda. Needless to say, Cade ran for cover (bottom picture) while Dad and I got showered with vinegar!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween, Cade was Indiana Jones and Quinn was Peter Pan. Cade's friend Michael came Trick-or-Treating with us. We could barely keep up with them! The highlight of their night was trick-or-treating at their teacher's house! So cute in 1st Grade!!! Quinn was just content to be pulled around in the wagon! Although he did have his 1st lolipop. . . courtesy of my neighbor Heidi and my Dad!!

We caught up with Cade's friend Luke as well.

Quinn's First Haircut

I'm not sure who was more traumatized. . . Quinn or Mommy. . . but we did it! We finally got his hair cut! On our first day of Vacation at Disney World, we visited the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street USA! He received special treatment, got a certificate and even his own Mouse Ears that have "First Haircut" Embroidered on the back! It was quite an experience!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch with Hogan, Grant and Jennifer Dettman. Unfortunately, the selection of pumpkins wasn't that great, but all the boys had fun, and we did end up with 2 pumpkins out of the deal!

Carson's Big Day

We headed to Cincinnati for a day of celebration!
Carson was baptized! It was so great to be a part of his big day. He was quite shy about the whole ordeal, but he was a great sport! Congratulations Carson (and French Family). We are excited to see how God will work in your life!

Pictures of Our Boys

Our friend, Lexi Smith, took pictures of the boys back in August, and I am just now getting them posted on here. We think she did a great job. They boys love her, so it was easy to get them to smile and be themselves. She's an amazing photographer. To see more of her work, check out the link to her blog under our favorite blogs listed!
