Pacers Game

Cade attended his first Pacers Game! Michael and he had a "Cade and Daddy" night! They enjoyed themselves! The tub of popcorn was a hit for our "Popcorn Crazy Boy" too! Hey, what can I say, he follows in his Mama's footsteps!

Christmas PJs

Each year they get to open one present on Christmas Eve. . . It's ALWAYS Christmas PJs. I guess Cade forgot that it's always pajamas and he was quite devastated this year, but he recovered well and posed for the annual picture in front of the fireplace with his brother!

Cookies for Santa. . . or Cookies for Quinn?

So, one of our traditions each Christmas Eve it to put out Christmas Cookies and Milk for Santa. This year, Quinn took an extreme interest in this particular tradition and helped himself. For those of you familiar with Quinn's personality. . . .it comes as no surprise to you that Quinn is the kid that feels he is in such good graces with Santa that he can steal his milk and cookies! My favorite one is the very last one. . . he's actually dipping the cookie in Santa's milk! You can click on the collage to get a closer look!

Christmas Blessings

I am sitting here getting caught up on all the blogs of my friends, getting phone calls and emails from other friends, and getting messages passed on to me from my hubby's Facebook friends. (Yes, I still refuse to create a profile for those of you Facebook-ers who are urging me to do so! I will continue to live vicariously through my hubby!) Quinn is sitting on my lap with his hair sticking up (looking like a Who from Whoville, I might add) and just "chatting" to "Ma-ma". I can hear Michael and Cade working on a puzzle in the other room. And I am feeling overwhelmingly blessed. We are surrounded by people that we love. And by surrounded, I don't necessarily mean that these people live in our house, in our town, or in our state. Many of you do, but we have friends scattered everywhere in this great country of ours that mean so much to us. At MOPS a few weeks ago we had this exact conversation about how blessed we feel by friends, and that feeling just has not passed. So THANK YOU to all of you who have loved, supported and prayed with us and for us. We've valued and appreciated every moment. I pray that your Christmas is filled with special blessings, and a constant reminder that what Christmas is really about is God sending us his Son! That is the true blessing. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas

Cade's First Piano Recital

Cade had his first piano recital! He played "Away in the Manger" and did a FANTASTIC job! We were VERY proud of him! He didn't seem nervous at all. He packed the house too! Grandma and Grandpa M, Grandma K, Aunt Carmen, Uncle Dan, Dylan & Amy, John, Jennifer, Hogan & Grant. . . they were all there to see him play!

Cade with Mr. Hall, his piano teacher.

Cade and his friend, Luke Elsbury, who also takes piano from Mr. Hall.

A Dog for Christmas. . .

We've all been missing our dogs Cole and Goldie. But this conversation was too funny. . .

Cade: "What I really, really, really want for Christmas is a dog."

Mom: "A dog is a big responsibility. Are you going to be the one to feed it, take it out, clean up it's poop, potty train it, take it on walks?"

Cade: "Oh Mom, of course I won't."

Obviously, we are not getting a dog for Christmas.

Santa Visit

What's the expression? A picture says 1,000 words. . . this says it all!

Christmas Program

"Christmas Lights" was the program that the kids at church did this year. Cade had both a speaking part and a solo in a song. He did a wonderful job! Grandma and Grandpa M were there to watch!

Health Update!

For those of you keeping up with the health of the Ferguson Boys. . . here is your update! Whew. . . it was a solid 10 days of misery, but everyone is finally well again! Cade is over his horrible cold. . . then pink eye. . . then the flu. Quinn is over his pink eye (I tried my best, but he did get it from his brother - even with the quarantine of Cade). Michael is over his strep throat. I think God knows that Moms don't get sick days, so I have been spared (at least temporarily) from any of this disgusting stuff. This has been quite a stretch. Normally the whole family is very healthy. You know it's bad when the receptionist at the pediatrician jokes and tells you that you need a "Frequent Visitor" punch card!!
