Fair Oaks Farm

We had a great time at Fair Oaks Farm (apart from the heat and it was crowded). We saw a baby cow in the process of being born, saw the whole farm operation, tasted some great grilled cheese, milk and ice cream and had a great time with the Dettmans, Hartwigs and Stubbes! Can't wait to return sometime this fall!

Rock Star Date

Cade and I had a date this Saturday! We went to the Children's Museum to catch the Rock Star exhibit. Very cool. Cade loved all the Gene Simmons/KISS memorabilia. We also caught the "All-Star Weekend" Concert for free! Can't beat that! Cade's quote of the day:

After seeing Michael Jackson's outfit in the Rock Star exhibit. Cade: Did he have 2 robotic hands?
Me: Why do you ask that?
Cade: Well, I see there are 2 gloves on that outfit. I thought he only had one robotic hand.
Me: Huh?
Cade: He always wore that glove to cover his robotic hand right?
Me: No, he just thought wearing a glove was cool.
Cade: Why?
Me: I have no idea!
Cade: Oh, ok!

Carmelfest Parade

This year's Carmelfest Parade was on July 5th (??????????) and was so miserably HOT that we weren't the only ones leaving early! We did stop by DQ for some cold ice cream. Quinn's face (below) says it all!

Fun on the Fourth

My favorite holiday is the 4th of July. Nothing like celebrating our country's birth and our freedom.
